Yeah, I've definitely picked up on a similar vibe over in the renewables division. Lots of discussions about optimizing existing resources and a general hesitancy to commit to new, large-scale initiatives right now. It feels like a strategic pause, perhaps, to reassess market conditions and internal priorities. The 'frugal' talk is definitely present, and any talk of expansion or new roles seems to be met with a polite deflection. It's making planning a bit challenging, to be honest.
I'm in a different part of the company, but I'm seeing it too. There's a noticeable shift towards efficiency and cost-saving measures. Some of the earlier optimism about growth seems to have been tempered by a more cautious approach. It's understandable given the current economic climate, but it does create a bit of uncertainty about future projects and resource allocation. Hopefully, it's a temporary adjustment rather than a sign of deeper issues.
