Sempra - Feels like things are slowing down, anyone else notice?

Been at Sempra for a few years now, and lately, it just feels... different. Project approvals seem to be taking way longer, and even small initiatives are getting bogged down in endless reviews. Used to be we could move pretty quickly, but now it's like every decision needs a committee sign-off and a three-page justification. Managers are definitely more cagey about future plans too, lots of 'wait and see' talk. I'm not hearing outright layoff rumors, but the vibe is definitely more cautious. Makes you wonder if they're tightening the belt internally, even if it's not official yet. Anyone else in a similar boat or at a different Sempra subsidiary experiencing this shift? Just trying to gauge if it's a company-wide thing or if I'm just in a particularly stagnant department.

I've noticed a similar shift. The pace definitely feels different than it did a couple of years ago. It's not just you. That feeling of things slowing down is definitely palpable across different departments, from what I can gather. It's making it tough to get momentum on new ideas.

Yeah, that sluggishness in project approvals and the layers of review are a real bottleneck. It's frustrating when you know things could move faster. The increased caution in communication from management is also a bit unsettling, even without explicit rumors. Definitely a change in the air.
