Sempra - Internal tool access getting restricted?

Has anyone else noticed that access to certain internal tools or databases has become way more restricted lately? It used to be pretty open, but now I find myself needing approvals for things that were never an issue before. It's adding friction to simple tasks and making collaboration harder. It feels like they're really tightening things up, maybe in preparation for something, or just trying to control information flow more tightly. Is this a company-wide push for security or efficiency, or is it just me? Anyone else experiencing this and what's the explanation you've heard?

Yeah, I've definitely seen that too. It's frustrating when basic access gets locked down without much warning. It feels like it's slowing down day-to-day work more than anything. Hopefully, there's a clear reason behind it and it actually leads to some tangible improvement down the line, because right now it's just a headache. Makes you wonder what's driving this shift.

Interesting that you bring this up. I've noticed a similar trend, especially with certain project-specific data. It used to be a quick look-up, but now it requires a formal request. I'm trying to stay optimistic and think it's a necessary step for better data integrity, but the added steps are undeniably cumbersome. It's definitely changing how we share and access information internally.
