Sempra - Management meetings giving anyone else a bad vibe?

Been noticing some weird energy in my team lately. My manager has been cagey about future projects, and there have been a couple of 'all hands' meetings that felt more like damage control or prepping us for something. They keep talking about 'strategic realignment' and 'optimizing our portfolio,' but the underlying tone feels pretty heavy. It's not just my department either; I've been talking to folks in other areas, and they're getting similar vague updates. No official announcements or anything concrete, but the whispers are definitely getting louder. It feels like something's brewing behind the scenes, and not necessarily the good kind of brewing. Trying not to jump to conclusions, but it's hard to ignore the feeling that things are about to change significantly. Has anyone heard anything more specific, or am I just overthinking the corporate speak?

I'm hearing similar things. The "strategic realignment" buzzwords are definitely making the rounds. It feels like they're trying to spin something potentially negative into a positive, and the vagueness is setting people on edge. It's hard to plan or feel secure when the future landscape keeps shifting without clear communication. Hopefully, we'll get some concrete details soon, but the current uncertainty isn't exactly inspiring confidence.

This "optimizing our portfolio" talk is unsettling, for sure. It often translates to cost-cutting or restructuring, which rarely feels good from the ground level. The lack of direct answers from leadership is the biggest red flag. It makes you wonder what they're not saying, and if that "bad vibe" is justified by something more substantial on the horizon. I'm keeping a close eye on developments.
