Sempra - Performance review season feels... different this year.

My performance review just wrapped up, and honestly, it felt a lot more intense than usual. The feedback was constructive, but the emphasis on 'efficiency' and 'optimizing resources' was really hammered home. It wasn't just about my individual contributions, but how my role fits into broader cost-saving measures. I've also noticed some of my colleagues mentioning similar conversations with their managers. No outright layoffs have been announced, but there's definitely a heightened focus on performance metrics and justifying every role. It makes you wonder what the underlying driver is. Anyone else experiencing this heightened scrutiny during review time?

Yeah, I'm feeling that too. The 'efficiency' talk has been a constant theme in my team's discussions. It feels like the company is really tightening the belt, and while I appreciate the focus on improvement, it does add a layer of pressure. Hopefully, it's just a strategic shift and not a precursor to something more concerning.

Same here. My review felt like a deep dive into how I can contribute to the bottom line. While I'm always looking to improve, the intensity around resource optimization was noticeable. I'm curious to see how this plays out company-wide. It's a bit unsettling when the narrative shifts so significantly.
