Anyone else feeling the Q4 jitters at SW?

Hey everyone, Been seeing a lot of chatter lately, and while there's no official word, I can't shake this feeling of unease. My department has been unusually quiet regarding resource allocation for next year, and the usual 'year-end push' feels a bit more... desperate? Some of the long-term projects we were working on have been put on indefinite hold, which is a first for me in my tenure here. I know it's the chemicals industry, and cycles happen, but the lack of clear communication is what's really getting to me. Are others in different divisions seeing similar signs? Or is it just my corner of the company? Wondering if anyone has heard any whispers, even indirect ones, about how the company is performing overall, beyond the standard earnings calls. Trying to get a pulse on the situation without being too alarmist. Just want to be prepared, you know? Any insights would be appreciated.

I'm right there with you. The silence is deafening, and the lack of transparency about next year's plans is definitely fueling the anxiety. It's tough to stay motivated when you're unsure about resources or even the direction of ongoing initiatives. Hoping for some clarity soon, but the uncertainty is definitely making the end of the year feel more stressful than usual.

Definitely feeling it. The project pauses are particularly concerning. Usually, there's at least a heads-up or a rationale, but this indefinite holding pattern is pretty unsettling. Makes you wonder what's really going on behind the scenes. Hopefully, it's just a temporary lull, but I understand why people are feeling the jitters.
