Small numbers in Bedford Heights - are more coming?

Saw the WARN notice for the Bedford Heights facility—only 2 people listed for the October 31st layoff. It feels weirdly specific. Are they just trimming the fat on a specific department, or is this the start of a slower, 'quiet' layoff process to avoid making headlines? I’ve been hearing rumors about restructuring across the R&D and supply chain sectors, but corporate is keeping things very locked down. Is anyone else in Ohio seeing similar patterns in their specific business units? It’s hard to tell if this is a minor correction or if we should be keeping our resumes polished for a larger wave in Q1. The silence is the worst part.

That definitely sounds like the classic 'boiling the frog' approach. By staggering the WARN notices, they keep the numbers low enough to stay under the radar of local news outlets while still hitting their internal headcount goals. It’s a common tactic to avoid a mass panic that might hurt morale or stock price. If R&D is involved, they’re likely pruning projects that haven't hit their ROI targets yet. Don't be surprised if these tiny batches keep popping up every month until the end of Q4. Stay alert.
