SW Internal Transfers - Realistic or Just Hope?

Hey everyone, been with SW for a few years now in a supporting role. Seeing some chatter and feeling the general vibe that things might be tightening up. I've been looking at internal opportunities in other departments, but the process feels so opaque. Is anyone here that has successfully navigated an internal transfer at SW recently? What was your experience like? Did you have to really push, or was it a more organic move? Worried about being stuck if external opportunities become scarce. Trying to be proactive here. Any tips or insights would be greatly appreciated.

I hear you on the opaque process. It definitely feels like a black box sometimes. I did manage to move departments about a year ago. Honestly, networking was key. I made sure my manager in my old role and the hiring manager in the new role had some direct conversations. It wasn't exactly easy, and it took a few months of persistent follow-up, but it eventually worked out. Don't get discouraged; keep putting feelers out and making those connections. Good luck!
