The disconnect between record sales and internal vibes

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel like the messaging coming from upper management is completely disconnected from what’s actually happening on the ground? We’re told to focus on growth and 'hustle,' but then we see these random, small layoffs popping up in notices. It makes it impossible to feel secure. I talk to people in other divisions and everyone is just waiting for the other shoe to drop. The company culture feels like it’s shifted from 'growth' to 'survival' overnight. I’m tired of the corporate speak about loyalty while we’re all just watching the WARN reports like hawks. If you’re at HQ or one of the major hubs, what are you hearing? Is there actually a plan, or are they just making it up as they go along?

It is honestly exhausting. You spend all day hitting impossible targets and driving those record numbers, only to see the company act like we are failing. The disconnect is real. It feels like they look at us as spreadsheets rather than actual people keeping the lights on. Everyone I talk to in the stores is just burned out. There is no loyalty left because we know they would replace us in a heartbeat to pad the next quarterly report. It’s definitely not just you feeling this way.

I have been with the company for years, and the atmosphere has completely soured. Management keeps talking about 'strategic pivots' and 'growth,' but it feels more like they are just trimming fat to make the balance sheet look pretty for shareholders. They act surprised when morale tanks, but how can you expect people to give 110% when you are constantly looking over your shoulder? It used to feel like a team, but now it feels like a countdown. Nobody feels safe, and that makes it really hard to care about the mission anymore.
