Anyone else feeling the Shopify hiring freeze vibe?

Just been browsing LinkedIn and Glassdoor, and it feels like the hiring gates at Shopify have slammed shut. I've seen a few roles I'd be perfect for, but they've been up for ages, or worse, disappear entirely. There's no official word on layoffs, and the president even said things were stabilizing, but the silence on new hires is deafening. It's got me wondering if the 'no more layoffs' comment was more about stopping the bleeding than a sign of green shoots. Anyone in engineering, product, or even marketing seeing similar patterns? Is it just a general market slowdown affecting them, or is there something specific brewing internally? I'm not looking to jump ship just yet, but it's hard not to feel a bit of unease when the hiring spigot seems to have been turned off so abruptly. Feels like a lot of folks are on edge.

I'm seeing the same thing from the outside. Lots of roles that looked promising just lingering or getting pulled. It's definitely making me hesitate to even apply for anything new there right now, even if the roles themselves are interesting. Feels like a bit of a holding pattern, and it's understandable why people would be concerned when there's so little transparency about the situation. Hoping for some clarity soon for everyone looking to join or stay.
