Honestly, I'm not entirely convinced either. Layoffs always leave a lingering sense of unease, no matter how much leadership tries to reassure everyone. It's hard to shake the feeling that if it happened once, it could happen again, especially in the tech world where things can change so rapidly. I've seen similar patterns in past companies, and while people try to stay positive, the underlying anxiety is often palpable. Hopefully, for everyone's sake, this time is different and the stability lasts.
It's definitely a valid question. The announcement sounds positive, but the history of recent cuts can't be ignored. When major restructuring happens, it often creates ripples that aren't immediately obvious. Teams might be consolidated, or priorities might shift in ways that eventually lead to a need for fewer people, even if no one is formally laid off right now. I'd be interested to hear from current employees if they're seeing any signs of departmental reshuffling or if workloads are noticeably increasing for remaining staff.
