Anyone applying to SPG for corporate roles? What's the hiring freeze like?

I've been keeping an eye on SPG for a while, specifically for some corporate positions that popped up last month. They seem to have gone quiet since then. I reached out to a recruiter about a role I was interested in and got a generic response about 'evaluating business needs' and a potential hiring pause. Is anyone else seeing this? Is it just a temporary thing, or are they really pulling back on hiring right now? It's a bit concerning given the broader market. Was wondering if anyone had any recent interview experiences or heard anything through the grapevine about their current hiring stance. Seems like a good company, but this uncertainty is making me hesitant to put all my eggs in that basket.

I've noticed a similar lull. Applied for a few roles a few weeks back and haven't heard anything concrete, just the standard 'we're reviewing applications.' It's definitely making me pause and reconsider my search strategy. Hopefully, it's just a seasonal slowdown or a brief internal realignment, but it's hard not to get a bit anxious with the current economic climate. Keeping fingers crossed that things pick up soon.

Yeah, the corporate hiring scene at SPG seems pretty tight right now. I heard from someone who interviewed a couple of months ago that they were being very selective and cautious with new hires. The 'evaluating business needs' line is definitely the go-to response for a reason. It could be a temporary pause as they assess their Q4 and 2024 plans, or perhaps a more strategic shift. Definitely worth keeping an eye on their investor relations for any clues.
