Did anyone else get the invite for a 'brief sync' this morning? I just saw the WARN notice hit for the NY office dated 10/12, and it’s finally starting to make sense why the mood in the office has been so incredibly tense the last few weeks. I’ve been with SPG for a while now and honestly, the uncertainty is worse than the actual news. My manager has been completely tight-lipped, which usually means they aren't allowed to say anything yet or they're in the dark too. I’m trying to keep my head down and just grind through my current deliverables, but it's hard to stay motivated when you’re wondering if you’re next on the chopping block. Has anyone heard anything specific about which departments are being targeted? Is this just NY, or is it rolling out nationally? Really hoping for some transparency here, but I know that’s asking for too much from leadership right now. If you got hit today, I am sorry—hang in there and keep your head up.

I saw the same thing regarding the NY office. It feels like we’ve all been walking on eggshells for a month, and the radio silence from leadership has been deafening. I’ve been checking my inbox every five minutes since the notification popped up. It is incredibly frustrating that they won’t just rip the band-aid off so we can stop speculating. If you hear anything else about which departments are being targeted, please update us. Stay strong, everyone.

Honestly, the lack of transparency is standard procedure at this point. I remember previous cycles being just as murky, but the atmosphere this time around feels much heavier. If you’re seeing that notice, start updating your resume immediately regardless of what your manager says. They are often the last to know, or they’re instructed to play dumb to avoid a mass exodus. Take care of yourself first because this company definitely won't.
