Simon Property Group - Any whispers about Q4 hiring freezes?

Hey everyone, Been with SPG for a couple of years now in the corporate office. Lately, the vibe has been a bit... tense. There haven't been any official announcements or anything concrete, but I've noticed a slowdown in new requisitions making their way through. My manager's been pretty cagey when asked about team growth for next year, just giving vague answers about 'optimizing resources'. I'm wondering if anyone else in different departments or locations are picking up on the same thing. Is it just my team, or is there a general hiring pause being implemented? Trying to get a sense of the broader picture before I start worrying too much. Appreciate any insights you can share, even if it's just anecdotal. Trying to stay informed but also not spiral. Anyone else hearing anything similar?

I'm in a different division, but I've definitely felt a shift in budget discussions lately. There's a lot more emphasis on existing projects and a general air of caution about adding headcount, even for critical roles. It's not a formal freeze, but it's making me nervous about future opportunities within the company. Hoping it's just a temporary belt-tightening measure for the year-end.

Same here, though on the retail operations side. We haven't had any outright 'no hiring' directives, but approvals for new positions are taking significantly longer than usual. It feels like every single hire needs multiple levels of sign-off, which wasn't the case even six months ago. Makes you wonder what the strategic priorities are for the coming year.
