Simon Property Group (SPG) - Concerned about future roles?

Hey everyone, been with SPG for a few years now in the corporate side of things. Lately, there's been a lot of 're-evaluating our structure' talk, which usually means something's up. No official word on layoffs, but the vibe is definitely tense. Projects are being shelved, hiring freezes are in full effect, and I'm hearing whispers about departmental consolidations. My manager is super cagey when I ask direct questions, just saying 'we're adapting to market conditions.' Anyone else in a similar boat at SPG? What are you hearing? Is it just my department or is this company-wide? Trying to get a realistic picture before I start dusting off the resume.

I'm not with SPG directly, but I've seen similar 'restructuring' talk at other large companies, and it often precedes some tough decisions. The market's definitely shifted, and real estate, especially retail, is under a lot of pressure. It's understandable to feel uneasy when projects are paused and hiring stops. Hopefully, it's just a temporary adjustment phase and not a sign of deeper issues. Keep your eyes and ears open for any official communications, and try to stay adaptable in your role. Good luck!
