Anyone else feeling like they're constantly walking on eggshells?

Seriously, the vibes at Snap have been so weird lately. I'm in product, been here for almost 4 years, and I swear every meeting I'm in, I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Remember that 'restructuring' last year? Felt like they just moved people around and made everyone MORE stressed. Now with the stock price all over the place and hearing whispers about slowing growth... anyone else prepping their resume 'just in case'? I'm starting to think it's not a bad idea. Trying to stay positive but the higher-ups are acting SUS.

Totally get where you're coming from. I'm on the engineering side and the uncertainty is palpable. It's like everyone's performance is under a microscope, and the pressure to over-deliver is insane. I haven't started actively looking, but I'm updating my LinkedIn and keeping an eye on openings at other companies, just to be prepared. It's a good time to brush up on skills anyway. Best of luck to you!

Honestly, this happens at pretty much every tech company eventually. Remember the hype train back in 2019? I think some people just got too used to the endless growth and free lunches. Snap's still a big player, and a 'restructuring' is often just a way to cut costs and become more efficient. I'd wait and see what Q3/Q4 look like before panicking. Maybe start some low-effort networking, but don't jump ship without a solid plan.
