Anyone else feeling super uneasy right now?

I'm on the engineering team, been here almost 4 years. Maybe it's just me, but the vibes are totally off. My skip-level has been in back-to-back meetings all week, and there are whispers going around about 'restructuring'. I remember similar things happening before the last round of cuts (thankfully I survived). It's probably nothing, but I can't shake this feeling that something big is about to drop. Am I just being paranoid, or is anyone else experiencing this too? Trying not to freak out, but it's hard when your livelihood is on the line. Guess I'll just keep refreshing LinkedIn and hoping for the best/worst...

Not paranoid, friend. Gut feelings in this industry are often spot on. Skip-level in constant meetings is never a good sign, especially coupled with restructuring rumors. Dust off your resume, update your LinkedIn, and start discreetly feeling out the market. Better to be prepared than blindsided. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

Honestly, this happens every quarter. Someone always thinks the sky is falling. Remember last time? A bunch of meeting about 'synergy' and then… nothing. Maybe your skip-level is just dealing with a demanding project. Everyone gets stressed. I'd wait for some real news before panicking. Focus on your work and try to ignore the noise.
