Snap job cuts - my experience and thoughts

So, I was part of the recent layoff wave at Snap. Honestly, it was pretty sudden. Got the email for a meeting, and within 15 minutes, I was out. No real warning, just a vague mention of 'restructuring' and 'future focus.' They offered a standard severance package, which isn't terrible, but doesn't exactly soften the blow. The worst part is the uncertainty and the feeling of being disposable. They keep talking about growth and innovation, but then they cut people. It's hard to reconcile that. I've seen this pattern at other tech companies too, where they hire aggressively and then slash just as fast. Just trying to process it all and figure out what comes next. Anyone else going through this or have gone through it at Snap? Would love to hear your perspective.

That sounds incredibly rough. The way they handled it, with such short notice and vague explanations, must have been incredibly disorienting. It's a tough pill to swallow when you're dedicated to a company and then feel like you're just a number. Standard severance is one thing, but the emotional impact of being blindsided like that is another. Hope you land on your feet quickly with something better. You deserve clarity and respect after that experience.
