Southern Company: Morale taking a hit lately?

Lately, I've been feeling a definite dip in overall morale here at Southern Company. It’s hard to pinpoint one specific thing, but there's a general undercurrent of unease. People seem more stressed, less engaged in meetings, and there's a lot more water cooler talk that sounds a bit anxious. People are asking about workload, about project scope creep, and just generally seeming a bit worn down. There haven't been any official announcements, but the vibe is changing. Is it just the general economic climate, or are others feeling this too? Just looking to see if I'm alone in this perception or if it's a wider trend within the company.

I've noticed it too. It feels like a lot of us are feeling the pressure, and it's not just one department. The constant chatter about changing priorities and seemingly endless projects is definitely wearing on people. It's tough to stay motivated when you feel like you're constantly running on a treadmill and not seeing the finish line. Hopefully, management addresses these concerns soon before it impacts productivity even more.

Interesting that you bring this up. I've been feeling a similar vibe for a while now, though I was hesitant to say anything. It's more than just workload; there's a sense of uncertainty that's palpable. People are starting to question their roles and the company's direction. The lack of clear communication or reassurance isn't helping either. It's a worrying trend, and I'm curious to see if it leads to any tangible changes or just more of the same anxiety.
