Seeing a lot of chatter on H@ckerN3ws and other places about Splunk layoffs, even though nothing's been officially confirmed internally from what I can see. My team has been unusually quiet lately, and there's this weird sense of 'waiting for the other shoe to drop.' Project scopes seem to be shrinking, and some roles are being subtly de-emphasized. Is anyone else experiencing this? Are there whispers in other departments about potential cuts or a hiring freeze that aren't making it to the wider internal comms? Trying to gauge if this is a widespread feeling or if I'm just in a particular pocket of uncertainty. Yeah, I've definitely felt a shift. It’s not just you. The general atmosphere has been pretty tense for a while now. Lots of speculation, and the quietness from leadership isn't helping. Seems like everyone's just trying to keep their heads down and do good work, but the uncertainty is palpable. Hoping for some clarity soon, but honestly, it’s hard not to feel uneasy with the way things are going.

Interesting you bring this up. I've noticed similar things. Project timelines seem more fluid than usual, and there’s a distinct lack of new initiatives being kicked off. It feels like we're in a holding pattern. While I haven't heard anything concrete, the general buzz and the subtle changes in workload definitely contribute to a feeling of unease.
