Feeling the pre-acquisition jitters. Anyone else?

Hey everyone, with the Cisco deal supposedly moving forward, I've been getting a bit antsy. I haven't heard any concrete news about layoffs, but the chatter online is getting louder. It's hard not to think about what might happen to our roles, especially with the integration process looming. I've seen some articles about Splunk cutting staff in the past, and history sometimes repeats itself, right? Wondering if anyone has heard anything more specific, or if we're all just in the same boat of uncertainty. Trying to stay positive, but it's tough when your job security feels like it's on the line. Anyone else feeling this way or have any intel?

Totally understand the anxiety. It's a huge unknown, and the silence from leadership doesn't help. I've been trying to focus on doing my best work and staying visible, but it's tough not to speculate. Hopefully, Cisco will see the value in the talent they're acquiring and make smart decisions about keeping the team intact. Fingers crossed for good news, or at least clear communication soon.

Yeah, the uncertainty is the worst part. Online rumors can really drive up the stress. I'm trying to stay positive and remember that acquisitions often aim to strengthen the existing structure, not dismantle it. Plus, Splunk has a lot of specialized expertise that would be hard to replace. Let's hope they prioritize retaining that knowledge during the integration.
