The Cisco acquisition news has been hanging over us for a while now, and while the initial announcement was supposed to be good news, the continued speculation about layoffs is starting to get to me. It feels like every week there's a new article or a new rumor about headcount reductions. I'm trying to focus on my work, but it's tough when you're constantly wondering if your role is secure, especially with a new parent company coming in. Has anyone else felt this way? How are you all managing the uncertainty? It's a weird limbo to be in, and honestly, it's impacting morale more than I thought it would. Just looking to see if others are feeling the same pressure.

Totally get where you're coming from. The uncertainty is a huge distraction. I've been trying to channel that energy into upskilling on areas that seem critical regardless of who owns what, hoping to make myself more indispensable. It's not a perfect solution, but having a tangible goal helps a bit when the broader picture feels shaky.

Yeah, the rumor mill is exhausting. I'm finding it helps to focus on the day-to-day value I'm delivering. Documenting achievements and continuing to contribute meaningfully can only help in the long run. Plus, trying to connect with colleagues who are feeling the same can provide some much-needed camaraderie and shared perspective.
