The quiet before the storm? SBD morale check

Been with SBD for a few years now, and I've always felt pretty secure. Lately, though, things feel a bit… off. People are definitely more guarded, and there's a lot of speculation flying around. We had that earnings call a while back that wasn't exactly stellar, and since then, it feels like there's been a general tightening. Some internal projects seem to be getting deprioritized, and there's less hiring happening than usual. It’s not a full-blown panic yet, but the general mood is definitely more cautious. I’m wondering if this is just the usual business cycle stuff, or if management is bracing for something bigger. Has anyone experienced anything similar in their departments? Any managers being particularly cagey about future plans? Just trying to gauge the overall sentiment and see if it's just me or a broader feeling across the company.

I'm hearing similar whispers. It's hard to shake the feeling that something's brewing. The shift from consistent growth and opportunity to this more cautious atmosphere is palpable. I've seen colleagues who were once vocal about their career paths here start to hedge their bets. Hoping it's just a temporary lull and not a sign of more significant shifts on the horizon. We all are looking for clear communication on where things stand.
