Hearing whispers about restructuring - what's the real deal?

Hey everyone. Been with Starbucks for a few years now, and lately, the vibe in the company feels...tense. I've seen some posts online referencing layoffs and closures, but nothing official has come down from corporate to my store or district. My manager is tight-lipped, just saying "things are always changing." Is anyone else hearing anything concrete? Are these just rumors or is there a larger shake-up happening that we're not being told about yet? It's hard to focus on customer service when there's this underlying anxiety. Just trying to get a sense of what's really going on before something hits us.

Same here. My store hasn't heard anything official either, but the chatter is definitely picking up. It's unsettling not knowing what's actually going on. Makes it tough to feel secure in your role when you're only getting bits and pieces from unofficial sources. Hopefully, management will be more transparent soon, or at least provide some clarity on what these changes might entail. The uncertainty is the worst part.

Yeah, I've seen some of those posts too. It's pretty concerning. My shift supervisor mentioned something vague about 'efficiency improvements' but wouldn't elaborate. I'm wondering if it's just a cyclical thing they do every few years, or if something more significant is brewing. Trying not to panic, but it's hard when you're on the ground floor and feel out of the loop about your own job.
