My store is closing next month, no explanation given

Just got the official notice today. My store, along with two others in my city, are closing their doors at the end of next month. We were told it's part of a "strategic portfolio realignment," which sounds like corporate BS to me. Nobody's getting severance pay or even help finding other positions within the company. We're all blindsided and honestly, pretty pissed off. Management's response has been textbook "nothing we can do." Has anyone else in this situation experienced this? What are the chances of getting transferred to another location or any support from Starbucks?
