State Street - Rumors of potential 'voluntary' departures?

Been seeing some chatter on other platforms about State Street potentially exploring voluntary separation packages or early retirement incentives. Haven't seen anything official internally, and obviously, the company isn't going to broadcast this if it's happening. Just curious if anyone here has heard similar things or knows someone considering it. Feels like a way to manage headcount without outright layoffs, which can sometimes cause more disruption. If this is happening, it makes sense why there's a feeling of uncertainty lately. Anyone have direct info or thoughts on this strategy?

Interesting rumor. It's definitely a tactic some firms use to adjust staffing levels without the heavy hand of forced layoffs. If they are offering attractive packages, it could be a win-win for both the company and employees looking for a graceful exit. Makes you wonder what the internal sentiment is like right now.

I've heard whispers along those lines too. It's the quiet way companies sometimes trim the fat, offering incentives for people to leave voluntarily. If the packages are good, I can see why some might take it. It's certainly less dramatic than mass layoffs, but still a sign of the times.
