Anyone else nervous about the Q1 earnings call?

With the Lakeland WARN notice dropping last week, the mood in the office is honestly miserable. Everyone keeps talking about 'operational efficiency' and 'streamlining,' but we all know that’s just corporate speak for more RIFs coming down the pipe. I’ve been with the company for five years, and the culture has shifted so much lately—it feels like leadership is just trying to make the margins look pretty for shareholders while the rest of us just keep our heads down and wait for the calendar invite from HR. Does anyone know if these cuts are isolated to Florida, or are they planning to do this site-by-site across the other divisions? The uncertainty is killing my productivity. I’m already looking at my resume again, which feels surreal because I used to think I’d retire here. If you’re in a different region, are you guys seeing similar signs, or is it business as usual for you?

The Lakeland situation is definitely the elephant in the room. I’ve seen the same pattern over the last few quarters; they prioritize the share price while ignoring the impact on the people actually doing the work. It’s impossible to feel secure when 'efficiency' is the only word being thrown around in leadership meetings. Honestly, it’s best to keep your resume updated and stay quiet until the call happens. The culture really isn't what it used to be, and it’s getting harder to ignore the signs.

I hear you, but let’s look at the broader picture here. Every major medtech player is tightening their belts right now to hit those Q1 targets. It isn't just us—it’s the reality of the current economic environment. While the messaging feels cold, the company is still positioned to lead the market, which is why I’m holding onto my position. Try not to let the rumor mill get to you; focus on your own projects and see what the actual guidance says next week before you start panicking.
