I was in Jacksonville earlier this year, and honestly, the silence from leadership is the worst part. Every time they start tossing around phrases like 'operational realignment,' you know the anxiety in the office is going to skyrocket. Six people might seem small on paper, but it never stops there. It feels like they’re just testing the waters before moving on to larger departments. Keep your head down and start quietly updating your resume just in case—this company has a pattern of doing things in waves.
That’s classic Stryker behavior. They act like these minor adjustments are totally standard, yet they never provide any real transparency to the people actually doing the work. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is just the first phase of a broader strategy they aren’t ready to announce yet. Don’t wait for them to give you the heads-up or wait for a 'department-specific' explanation. If the culture starts shifting and the rumors are flying, it’s usually time to start looking elsewhere before the next round hits.
