Just saw the official WARN filing for the Lakeland site. It looks like 22 people are officially getting the axe effective March 9th. I know there have been whispers for a while now about restructuring, but seeing it on paper makes it real. Everyone in my department has been walking on eggshells for weeks, and the lack of communication from leadership is just fueling the rumors. Is anyone actually surprised at this point? It seems like every quarter we get a message about 'streamlining operations' while the bottom line stays healthy. If you’re at that site, I really hope you have a contingency plan in place. For those of us left, how much more 'efficiency' can they squeeze out of us before things actually break? It feels like we’re losing more talent every time these announcements drop.

The 'streamlining' language is just corporate speak for cutting costs to keep the shareholders happy while the rest of us deal with the fallout. It’s always the same story: leadership stays silent while morale bottoms out, then they act like these layoffs were some kind of strategic necessity rather than a failure of planning. Honestly, twenty-two families losing their income in March is brutal, especially when management has been dangling the promise of stability in front of everyone for months. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this.

At this point, is there anyone here who actually believes the leadership when they talk about 'restructuring'? We all knew this was coming the moment they started shifting the focus toward aggressive quarterly growth. It’s frustrating to watch them trim the workforce while pretending it’s for the long-term health of the company. Those of us remaining are just waiting for the next round of shoes to drop. It’s a toxic environment when you're constantly looking over your shoulder instead of focusing on your actual work. Wishing the best to those being let go.
