Stryker - Restructuring rumors swirling?

Long-time lurker here, first-time poster. Working at Stryker, and the buzz about potential restructuring is getting louder. Again, no official word, but the whispers are pretty consistent across different teams and even departments I interact with. Seems like there's been a lot of 're-prioritization' meetings and some teams are definitely leaner than they were a few months ago. I'm not sure if this is just standard business cycle stuff or if something bigger is brewing. Does anyone have any inside info or have heard anything more concrete about potential reorganizations or, dare I say, layoffs? Trying to get a read on the situation before making any personal decisions. Thanks for any insights.

I've heard similar rumblings through the grapevine, though nothing concrete. It's always a bit unsettling when there's talk like that, especially if you're settled in. Hopefully, if anything is happening, it's more about optimizing operations rather than significant layoffs. Keep an ear out for any official announcements, and maybe start dusting off that resume just to be prepared, though I'm sure it won't come to that.

Yeah, the 're-prioritization' sounds like corporate speak for 'we're looking to cut costs.' Been through this before at other companies. Sometimes it leads to good things, streamlining processes and focusing on what matters. Other times, it's just a prelude to headcount reductions.
