Stryker - Thoughts on job security in the current climate?

Hey everyone. Been with Stryker for a few years now, and while things have been generally stable, the chatter in the broader med device industry has me a bit antsy. Seeing some of the bigger players make cuts, and even smaller ones are consolidating. Anyone else in Stryker feeling this unease? I haven't heard any specific rumors about our division or team, which is good, but the overall economic outlook and the pressure on healthcare spending makes me wonder if any area is truly safe. Just looking to see if others are thinking about this, maybe reassessing their own situations or keeping an eye on opportunities elsewhere. It's tough not knowing, and I'm trying to stay proactive without jumping to conclusions. What's the general sentiment out there?

Totally get where you're coming from. It's hard not to feel a little on edge when you see what's happening elsewhere in the sector. Stryker has always seemed pretty solid, but you're right, the wider economic pressures are definitely a concern. I haven't personally encountered any specific bad news, and our team's workload hasn't changed, but I've definitely been keeping an eye on industry news more closely. Hopefully, Stryker's diversified portfolio and focus on innovation will continue to provide a buffer.

I've been wondering about this too. While I haven't heard any direct rumors about layoffs or anything serious at Stryker, the general uncertainty in the market is palpable. I think it's smart to be proactive and aware, though. Stryker's reputation is strong, and they've weathered storms before, but no company is entirely immune. It's probably wise to focus on delivering excellent work and staying adaptable, just in case.
