Synopsys: Recent project cancellations making me nervous

Is anyone else at Synopsys dealing with unexpected project cancellations lately? Over the past couple of months, I've seen a couple of initiatives that I thought were solid just suddenly get pulled. No clear explanation, just 'strategic shift' or 'reprioritization.' It's happening across different teams, not just in one isolated area. It's making people start to whisper. I haven't seen any official layoff notices or anything concrete, but these cancellations, coupled with a general slowdown in new project approvals, is making me a bit uneasy. Is this happening elsewhere? Trying to gauge if this is a broader trend or if I'm just in a particularly volatile part of the company. Any intel or similar experiences would be appreciated.

Yeah, I've definitely noticed a shift. It's unsettling to put your all into something only for it to be shelved without much transparency. The 'strategic shift' excuse feels a bit vague when it's happening with some regularity. I'm trying to stay focused on my current tasks, but the uncertainty is definitely a talking point around the virtual water cooler. Hopefully, there's a clearer communication plan coming soon.

It's more than just whispers; it feels like a palpable tension. Several critical projects I was involved with have seen sudden halts or significant scope reductions. While I understand business needs change, the lack of detailed rationale leaves a lot of room for speculation and, frankly, anxiety.
