The dissonance between the quarterly investor calls and the reality on the shop floor is getting impossible to ignore. We hear all about how TE is leading the charge in automotive and industrial tech, but those gains never seem to trickle down to the people actually hitting the production quotas. Instead of recognizing the effort, we just get more 'efficiency' mandates and empty promises. It’s draining to put in the overtime while knowing the company is prioritizing shareholder returns over retaining the talent that built those margins in the first place.
I have been watching this cycle repeat for years now. It starts with a flashy presentation about hitting record financial targets, followed immediately by a 'strategic restructuring' announcement. Everyone knows it is just a polite way of saying they are about to cut corners and squeeze the remaining staff until they break. If they want us to act like we are part of the 'TE family,' they could start by actually investing in the employees instead of treating us like a variable cost to be minimized every time the market shifts.
