Teradyne - Performance reviews coming up, how are we feeling?

With performance review season approaching, I'm wondering how others at Teradyne are preparing or feeling about it. Given the current economic climate and general slowdown in some parts of the semiconductor industry, I'm hearing a lot of talk about "strategic alignment" and "focus on core competencies" from management. It feels like the bar is being set higher, and frankly, some of the metrics seem a bit arbitrary this year. Is anyone else feeling the heat to prove their value more than ever? Any tips on how to navigate this, especially if you're in a role that might be considered less "core" right now? Just trying to get a sense of the general mood and if this is something others are experiencing across different business units. Hoping for a good review, but also bracing myself.

I'm definitely feeling it too. The talk about strategic alignment is constant, and it feels like we have to constantly justify our existence in ways that weren't as pronounced before. The arbitrary metrics are a real head-scratcher; it's hard to focus on goals when the definition of success seems to shift. Just trying to document everything and hope it's enough to demonstrate value. Fingers crossed it lands well.

Yeah, the "strategic alignment" jargon is definitely ringing true. I've been trying to tie all my recent projects back to those stated priorities, even if it feels like a stretch sometimes.
