Anyone else feeling the jitters at Thermo Fisher (Life Sci)?

Hey everyone, throwing this out there because the vibe has been a little off lately in our Life Sciences division. Haven't heard any concrete news or seen any official announcements, but there's been a definite increase in hushed conversations and a general sense of unease. Been seeing some reorganizations in certain departments and a slowdown in hiring for some roles. My manager has been cagey about upcoming projects, which is unusual for them. Just wondering if anyone else is picking up on this? Is it just my team, or is there a broader feeling of uncertainty across the LSI business? Trying to gauge the temperature here and if I should be quietly updating my resume, just in case. Feels like a lot of 'streamlining' talk lately. Anyone have any intel or just similar feelings?

I'm in a different part of Thermo Fisher but I've definitely felt some shifting winds lately. There's been a noticeable increase in 'efficiency' meetings and some roles being consolidated. It's hard to pinpoint exactly what's happening, but there's a definite sense that things are being re-evaluated. Hoping it's just standard business fluctuations and not something more.

Yeah, the unease is palpable. My team's been told to be extra mindful of budget and resource allocation, which wasn't as emphasized before. Project timelines seem to be under more scrutiny, and there's a general feeling of needing to prove value at every turn. I'm trying to stay positive but it's tough when the grapevine is buzzing with uncertainty.
