Princeton cuts—anyone have the full picture?

Saw the WARN notice for the Princeton site drop. 113 people let go is no small number, and the silence from leadership is deafening as usual. I’ve been hearing rumors that this is just the tail end of the 'optimization' strategy they started earlier this year. Does anyone know if they are planning to shutter more of the facility or if this is just a headcount reduction across specific product lines? Trying to figure out if it’s time to update the resume or if my department is actually safe for the next quarter. The company culture has shifted so much lately; it feels like every month we’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. If you’re at the Princeton office, how is the morale? Hope everyone impacted lands on their feet quickly.

The silence from the top is exactly what we’ve come to expect from this management team. Unfortunately, the 'optimization' buzzword is usually corporate speak for ongoing cycles of downsizing until the numbers look good for the shareholders. If you’re already hearing rumors about further cuts, I wouldn’t wait around to see if your department is safe. Start updating that resume tonight; the severance package might be decent, but job security here is nonexistent right now.

I’m sorry you’re dealing with this stress. It’s incredibly frustrating how they handle these notifications with zero transparency, leaving everyone to guess their fate. From what I’ve gathered through internal channels, the Princeton situation is part of a much larger restructuring effort that isn't stopping anytime soon. It’s better to be proactive rather than caught off guard. Reach out to your network now, because regardless of whether they shutter the whole site, the instability is clearly here to stay.
