Anyone else feeling the chill at TJX? Less hiring, more 'streamlining'?

Hey all, been with TJX for a few years now, mostly happy but lately... something feels different. Haven't heard any direct layoff rumors, but the vibe is shifting. Hiring seems to have really slowed down in my department, and there's a lot more talk about 'optimizing processes' and 'resource allocation'. We're being pushed to do more with less, which is standard in retail, I know, but this feels more intense. A few roles that opened up recently seem to be getting merged or just not backfilled when someone leaves. Is this just my area, or is anyone else seeing similar trends across different TJX banners (TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, etc.)? Curious to hear if others are feeling this 'efficiency' push and what it might mean long-term. Trying not to panic, but it's hard not to connect the dots when you see these subtle shifts.

I've noticed something similar in my store. It's like they're trying to squeeze every drop out of the current staff without bringing in new faces. Makes it tough to keep up with the workload, and you can definitely feel the pressure to be more efficient. Hope it doesn't get worse.

Yeah, the 'streamlining' talk is definitely circulating. We're seeing fewer hours offered overall, and it feels like they're consolidating responsibilities. It's a bit unsettling, to be honest. Makes you wonder what the long-term plan is for staffing levels.
