Anyone else feeling the corporate squeeze at TSCO?

Is anyone else just completely exhausted by the recent shifts at HQ? It feels like every time we turn around, leadership is talking about 'optimizing efficiency' while the workload is just becoming unsustainable for those of us left standing. I’ve been with Tractor Supply for over five years, but the atmosphere has shifted from a customer-obsessed company to a spreadsheet-obsessed one. The recent rounds of cuts in Ohio really rattled the cage for everyone, even those of us in different regions. You start wondering if you’re next on the chopping block, especially with how quiet management has been about the long-term headcount strategy. Are we just going to keep trimming the fat until we hit the bone, or is there an actual plan here? It’s getting harder to justify staying when the morale is this low. I’m starting to look elsewhere, but I’m curious if anyone has heard anything concrete regarding further restructuring for Q1. The silence is the worst part.

I’ve been feeling the exact same way. It feels like the company culture shifted overnight from focusing on our local community needs to purely chasing quarterly growth metrics. The constant talk about efficiency is just a thin veil for piling more work onto already burnt-out employees. We’re losing the heart of what made this company great in the first place, and it’s becoming harder to justify sticking around when the support from leadership is nonexistent.

Honestly, the focus on spreadsheets over people has been glaringly obvious lately. I’ve seen some of the best team members walk out the door because they just can't keep up with these unsustainable expectations. It’s draining to come into work feeling like a number rather than a valued part of the team. That sense of job security used to be a major perk, but after hearing about the cuts in other regions, it’s clear that everyone is just waiting for the next shoe to drop.
