I've definitely picked up on some of that too. It's like a low hum of uncertainty in the breakroom conversations lately. While nothing concrete has been said directly to us on the floor, you can feel it. Everyone's just trying to stay focused on their jobs and keep things running smoothly, but it's hard not to wonder what the 'efficiency improvements' might actually mean for the day-to-day. Hoping for the best but bracing for potential changes.
Interesting you bring this up. My store manager made a comment last week about 'streamlining operations' and how we all need to be 'nimble.' It wasn't alarming, per se, but it did sound like code for something. We've seen a few positions eliminated in other regions, so I'm not entirely surprised by the whispers. Just hoping whatever 'restructuring' happens doesn't negatively impact the customer experience or our ability to get the job done.
