Anyone else seeing budget cuts impacting store operations?

Been at TSC for a few years now, and while we haven't had any official layoff announcements, the last couple of quarters have felt... different. We're seeing tighter controls on ordering, less flexibility with scheduling, and a general 'do more with less' vibe. It feels like the company is pulling back in subtle ways. Has anyone else noticed this? Is it just my region, or is this a company-wide trend? It's making it harder to provide the level of service our customers expect. Wondering if this is a precursor to something more significant down the line. Curious to hear from others experiencing similar situations.

Yeah, I've definitely felt that shift at our store too. It’s like everything is a tighter leash these days. Used to be we could order what we needed to keep shelves stocked, but now it’s a constant battle to get approval, and often we end up with shortages. Scheduling is also a nightmare; people are being asked to pick up more shifts or hours are being cut. It's putting a strain on everyone and honestly, it’s hard to keep up the usual friendly service when you're stretched so thin. Hope it gets better.

It’s not just your store. We’re experiencing the same thing over here. The push for efficiency is palpable, and while I get that businesses need to be mindful of costs, it feels like it's impacting the front lines the most. Fewer staff on the floor means longer waits for customers, and less stock means missed sales opportunities. It's a tricky balance, and right now it feels like the scales are tipping too far towards just cutting corners rather than investing in what makes the store great. Curious to see if management addresses this.
