Anyone else feeling the pinch at TransDigm lately?

Curious to hear from others at TransDigm. Been here about 5 years and things feel…different. Projects seem to be getting scrutinized more, budgets are tighter, and there's a lot of talk about optimizing costs. Saw a few roles get 'restructured' last month, but nothing official announced company-wide. My department hasn't seen any cuts yet, but the pressure is definitely on. Anyone else seeing similar trends in their divisions or sites? Is this just a normal cycle, or are we looking at potential layoffs down the line? Wondering if it's worth starting to polish the resume just in case. Seems like a lot of aerospace companies are tightening up.

I've noticed it too. The emphasis on cost savings and efficiency is definitely more pronounced than I remember. It feels like every decision is being run through a tighter filter, and there's a general sense of 'doing more with less.' While efficiency is generally good, the increased scrutiny and the recent 'restructuring' talk are definitely creating some unease. Hoping it's just a cyclical thing and not a sign of bigger shifts ahead.

Yep, the vibe has shifted. My team is feeling the pressure to justify every expense and deliver maximum output. Budget reviews are more intense, and there's a lot more focus on metrics. The 'restructuring' in other departments has definitely put everyone on edge, even if our area hasn't been directly impacted yet. It's hard to tell if this is just standard business optimization or something more significant. Makes you wonder about the long-term outlook.
