Just saw the official WARN notice for the Meriden facility. It looks like the axe officially dropped on September 27th. Honestly, it feels like the rumors we were hearing back in early September were actually understated. I’m currently trying to get a headcount on how many people were impacted, but the atmosphere around here is absolutely toxic right now. Management is playing the usual corporate games, giving us the 'restructuring for efficiency' speech while everyone is wondering who is next on the list. If you were part of the group let go, please share what the package looked like if you're comfortable. Trying to figure out if it’s time to jump ship before the next quarterly review, because the lack of transparency is becoming unbearable. Stay safe out there.

The Meriden site has been a mess for a while now, and the September 27th layoffs aren't a surprise to anyone who has been paying attention to the internal shifts. It’s always the same corporate script about 'efficiency' while the people who actually keep the facility running are pushed out the door. The lack of transparency from leadership is exactly what you’d expect from this company. I’m sorry you’re dealing with the fallout, but keep your head down and start looking elsewhere immediately because they clearly don't value the long-term staff at all.

I am really sorry to hear about the situation in Meriden. It’s incredibly draining to work in an environment where the rumors are almost always worse than what management admits. The way these announcements are handled is consistently cold and impersonal, which only makes the atmosphere even more miserable for those left behind. Please take care of yourself during this transition and reach out to your network as soon as you can. You deserve a workplace that doesn’t treat its workforce as just a line item on a spreadsheet.
