Hey everyone, just wanted to see if anyone else at Travelers is noticing some weird vibes lately. Been hearing whispers about tighter budgets and a general slowdown in hiring for roles that would normally be open. My team's budget for the rest of the year seems pretty much frozen, and new requisitions are getting major scrutiny. Just trying to gauge if this is a company-wide thing or if it's just specific departments. Trying not to jump to conclusions, but the atmosphere feels a bit uncertain. Anyone have any intel or similar experiences?

Yes, I'm definitely seeing the same thing. My department's budget has been significantly cut for Q3 and Q4, and we've had to put several planned projects on hold. Hiring for open positions has also slowed to a crawl, with requisitions needing multiple levels of approval before they can even be posted. It feels like the company is preparing for a leaner period, and the uncertainty is palpable. I'm hoping it's just a temporary adjustment, but it's hard not to worry a bit.
