Hey everyone, long-time lurker here. Just wanted to see if anyone else is hearing whispers about potential layoffs at Travelers. Nothing concrete yet, but there's been a weird vibe around lately. Lots of talk about "efficiency" and "streamlining" in internal comms, which usually precedes bad news, in my experience. Has anyone else noticed this? Any departments particularly affected or hearing specific rumors? Trying to gauge if this is just general anxiety or if something is actually brewing. I've been at Travelers for a few years now and I've definitely picked up on that same 'efficiency' language in recent all-hands meetings. It's unnerving, especially when coupled with the general market uncertainty. I haven't heard any specific department names being thrown around, but the buzz is definitely there. It's hard not to feel a bit anxious when you see those kinds of buzzwords appearing so frequently in official communications. Let's hope it's just proactive planning and not something more serious, but I'm keeping my ears open too.
