Trimble: Just me or is Q3/Q4 looking dicey?

Checking in with fellow Trimblers. I've been getting a lot of 'FY24 outlook' emails lately, and the language seems a bit more cautious than usual. We're talking about optimizing resources, focusing on core competencies, and 'strategic realignment.' While this can just be corporate speak, it often precedes some belt-tightening. Haven't seen any official announcements, and my manager is being tight-lipped, but the internal chatter is picking up. Has anyone been asked to put their hiring requests on hold, or seen projects get de-prioritized unexpectedly? Just trying to gauge the temperature and see if this is a company-wide feeling or just my specific corner of the world. Any insights would be appreciated.

I'm seeing the same signals across my team. A lot of talk about 'efficiency gains' and 'streamlining operations,' which, as you noted, can definitely be code for upcoming cutbacks. My department has also put a freeze on non-essential travel and training budgets. It feels like the leadership is bracing for something, but they're not communicating it clearly. Hoping it's just a conservative forecast and not a sign of bigger issues.

Yeah, that corporate speak is definitely setting off alarm bells for me too. We've had a couple of 'all-hands' meetings that felt more like damage control than updates. My manager’s been deflecting any questions about headcount or future projects, just saying to focus on current deliverables. It's unnerving not having concrete information, especially when the economic climate isn't exactly booming. Makes you wonder if we should be updating our resumes.
