Severance packages after the Nashville cuts

Has anyone heard if the package terms are changing for the latest round? I know a few people impacted by the July 30th date in Davidson County and the mood is pretty dark. I’ve been with the bank since the merger and the constant fear of the 'next wave' is honestly becoming worse than the actual layoff itself. Is anyone else seeing their teams being gutted, or is this still just localized to specific units? I’m trying to decide if I should start aggressively applying elsewhere or just wait for the inevitable meeting invite. It feels like leadership has zero transparency on the long-term headcount goals. Any insights from those on the ground would be appreciated.

The mood is definitely grim across the board, not just in Nashville. My team in Charlotte just went through a similar reduction, and the lack of transparency is the worst part. It feels like we are all just waiting for the next shoe to drop every single quarter. If you have the energy, start applying now. Don't wait for a package that might get worse with every passing month. It is better to have an exit strategy in place than to be caught off guard when your unit finally gets hit.

I wouldn't bank on the severance terms staying the same, as the company is clearly looking for ways to cut costs across all departments. I’ve been hearing rumors that they are tightening up the formula for upcoming cycles. The constant cycle of layoffs is exhausting, and it has absolutely destroyed morale here. Trust your gut—if you are already looking for the exit, pull the trigger. There is no loyalty left in this environment, and hanging around just to see if you are next is a losing game.
