Truist - Anyone seeing impacts from the recent 'efficiency' drive?

Hey all, been with Truist for a few years now and lately things feel... different. Heard a lot about 'efficiency initiatives' and 'streamlining operations' in recent town halls and internal comms. It sounds like corporate speak for cutting costs, and I'm starting to worry what that means for actual people. Anyone else in different departments seeing projects shelved, hiring freezes, or maybe even subtle hints of headcount adjustments? Trying to gauge if this is a widespread feeling or just my team/division. The general vibe feels a bit more anxious than usual, and I'm wondering if we should be bracing for anything more concrete than just 'efficiency'. Anyone have intel or just a similar gut feeling?

Yeah, I'm definitely feeling it. Seems like a lot of resources are being pulled back, and project timelines are stretching out. Heard whispers about some roles being consolidated too. It's unsettling when you're not sure what the long-term plan is for your team or even yourself. Hoping for some clarity soon.

Interesting you bring this up. My department hasn't seen overt cuts, but there's a definite tightening of the purse strings. Less travel, fewer training budgets, and a general sense of 'do more with less.' It's understandable from a business perspective, but it does create a bit of anxiety about job security and future opportunities.
