Truist - Hiring freeze suspicion?

Is it just me, or has Truist's hiring slowed to a crawl? I've been keeping an eye on open positions, and it feels like way fewer roles are being posted than a few months ago. Plus, some of the requisitions I was tracking seem to have disappeared or are stuck in limbo. Feels like a de facto hiring freeze, even if it's not officially announced. Makes you wonder what the financial outlook is. Anyone in recruiting or management seeing this from the inside? Or have any offers been rescinded or delayed recently? Trying to gauge the broader talent acquisition picture right now.

I've definitely noticed a slowdown from my end too. I work with several banks and the hiring pace at Truist seems considerably reduced compared to other institutions. It's not just a feeling; the number of active postings I'm seeing has dropped significantly, and many roles that were open a while back are no longer listed. It's creating a bit of uncertainty for candidates who were hoping for movement. Curious to hear if anyone has insight into what might be driving this shift.

I can't speak to internal recruiting, but anecdotally, it aligns with what I'm observing from the outside. The market is tough for many financial institutions right now, and I wouldn't be surprised if Truist is taking a more cautious approach to expansion. Fewer openings and seemingly stalled processes can certainly be interpreted as a tightening of the belt, whether it's an official freeze or just extreme caution. Hope for those looking for opportunities that things pick up soon.
