Truist - Morale is low. What's the strategy?

Seriously, what is going on at Truist? Feels like we're bleeding talent quietly and nobody in leadership is addressing it. The constant 'streamlining' and 'synergy' talk is getting old. People are burnt out, workloads are increasing because there are fewer hands to do the work, and there's zero transparency. Saw a few posts about potential cuts in specific divisions, but nothing concrete. Is there a plan here, or are we just kind of winging it? Feels like a lot of good people are looking elsewhere because the direction feels unclear and the environment is becoming less tenable. Anyone got any intel or just want to commiserate?

This sentiment is definitely shared. The lack of clear communication from the top about the 'why' behind these changes is a major driver of the unease. When employees don't understand the direction or feel their contributions are valued, morale takes a serious hit. Hoping for more transparency soon.

It's disheartening to hear about the talent drain. For those of us still here, seeing colleagues leave for greener pastures without a clear understanding of the company's future path is tough. A solid strategy needs to address not just efficiency, but also employee retention and engagement. We need to know there's a long-term vision that includes us.
