Truist - Performance reviews feeling more critical lately?

Just finished my annual performance review and it felt... different this year. More emphasis on 'efficiency' and 'synergies' than usual, and a lot of questions about how my role contributes to the bottom line. Some of my colleagues in other teams are saying similar things. It's making me a bit paranoid, wondering if this is the prelude to something bigger. Is this just standard corporate speak getting amplified, or is there a more deliberate effort to identify areas for reduction? Anyone else get a review that felt unusually scrutinized or focused on potential cost savings?
